Words of Dr .Stevens ....from 2003 !
In my reading of some of the notes learnt from this man of God years ago,stirred me up ! While reading this , I can hear him preach !!!!

Grace Thoughts...
At yesterday's midweek service,P.Deven blessed us with some awesome thoughts ..God replaces our Pride with Reality, our control with Authority and our freedom with Liberty. We are 1 in a thousand..Job 33.
That got me thinking ...
Its amazing to experience that when we surrender our hearts to the Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord truly sets us free...we may not be in the majority, but we are in Christ, and He is with us.
As we walk in this life, i remember what Moses said to Israel...in Deut 5...

Its amazing to experience that when we surrender our hearts to the Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord truly sets us free...we may not be in the majority, but we are in Christ, and He is with us.
As we walk in this life, i remember what Moses said to Israel...in Deut 5...
"And Moses called all Israel, and said unto them, Hear, O Israel, the statutes and
judgements which I speak in your ears this day, that ye may learn them, and keep,
and do them."...Hear,Learn,Keep,Do.
Hear,Learn,Keep,Do...that's the order, as we hear the Word of God we mix Faith to what we hear ,and we learn the process of the Grace of God in our lives,then we begin to experience His work ,deep in our hearts..that grace now transforms us,changes us,moment by moment,day by day..to a point where we have no options,our lives are surrendered to Christ,and we do what pleases Him,walking by faith pleases Him, Heb 11....and out go our fleshly desires,our pride,our want of recognition . We could'nt be more "free-er" than that !! Oh, how much do i need to grow in that grace, 1 Pet 3:18, its a never ending process !
Maybe the Lord has this for us this season..Keep on Hearing,Keep on Learning,Keep on Keeping and Keep on Doing...Love,Faith,Grace,Mercy,Truth,Word...Thank you Jesus !!

Sovereign over us
How can GOD allow a missionary to die even after he has been faithful on the missionfield ?
The plan of GOD for our lives = SOVEREIGN
We don't have the answers but by faith we know its the wisdom of GOD!
Broken hearts mended, sicknesses healed, sinners saved...
In Mark 10 even though many people were present only one person got healed....
It wasnt the level of faith that mattered then or that matters today just the presence of faith that really counts.
Very often we pray for others and have great faith for their situations. Very often we believe that GOD can do it for others but not for me.
The truth is this: If HE can do it for others, HE can do it for me
No step well prayed over will result in ultimate regret !

Grateful not Forgetful.
When men and women spend time with GOD in prayer and HIS Word, GOD's extraordinary Spirit shines out of their lives - Daniel 6:3
Daniel lives in the lion's den and comes out alive! Like JESUS came out alive from the tomb.
We serve a living GOD who loves us.
The reason the Israelites got rebellious is because they failed to remember what GOD did - forgetfulness in the things of GOD.
Each and every born again believer is what Job was in the first chapter of Job: upright, righteous and blameless. Only because of what JESUS did for us.
We want to be people who seek GOD. Who seek GOD not just in an aspect, or just in a prayer or in a situation. But to seek GOD with all my heart! (Jeremiah 29:13)
Even if I had 1000 hearts only GOD would fill each heart. David was such a man. Only a man whose heart fully belongs to GOd could write the Book of Psalms.
How do we seek HIM?
Jeremiah 27:7 says I will give them a heart to know me. Consider this...HE gives me a heart to know HIM. HE makes everything so easy for me!
GOD came to live in the tabernacle amidst HIS people and they looked the other way!!!
We too look the other way. People, relationships, careers, life's details become more important. Now that's where forgetfulness begins. That's where we get familiar.
On a dark rainy day we dont see the sun....in our dark trials we don't see GOD. We think GOD has forgotten me.
The reading of HIS Word will bring us will help us grow from grateful to faithful to wise (Psalm 119:105, Romans 10:17)
When we go through life we don't want to be forgetful, foolish and fallen but we want to be grateful, wise and faithful.
Going through a season of tremendous trials ?
I encourage you to think about 5 things to be grateful in the middle of your circumstance...
